Tasting Notes

Like the flora and fauna that survive under the harsh alpine conditions Pinot Noir is a grape that thrives on adversity.  It’s the red grape that is at the heart of Burgundy.  The wine is typically perfumed with fragrances of raspberries and violets, but matures to carry an earthiness with developed fruit characters.  It has a palate, which is seductive and silky, and yet so elusive and wretchedly difficult to make those winemakers the world over see it as a challenge that they must achieve. Our Reserve Pinot Noir is reflective of the Burgundian style and indicative of what can be achieved in this region.
